30 Series Push Pull Control Cables
The 30 Series is our lighter-duty push pull cable, built around a 3/16" stainless steel rod (10-32 UNF thread). Key features include:
- Minimum bend radius of 100mm
- Reinforced outer conduit for greater structural integrity
- Minimal backlash
- Low-friction materials and wiper seals for smooth, efficient operation
Well suited to general remote-control applications where high loads aren't required but reliable, precise actuation is essential.
40 Series Push Pull Control Cables — Heavy Duty
The 40 Series steps up to a 1/4" stainless steel rod (1/4-28 UNF, or 6mm metric), giving increased push/pull capacity over the 30 Series while retaining smooth, precise control. Key features include:
- Minimum bend radius of 125mm
- HDPE outer conduit with HDPE liner for smooth operation
- Flat-wrap 3.2mm stainless steel inner core
- Operating temperature range of -40°C to +80°C
Typical applications: heavy-duty throttle controls, transmission and gear selector controls, hydraulic valve actuation, PTO engagement, engine shut-off controls, directional control systems, industrial machinery and heavy mobile equipment.
The larger rod diameter and robust construction suit equipment operating under constant vibration, heavy loads and harsh environmental conditions.
60 Series Push Pull Control Cables — Maximum Strength
The 60 Series is our heaviest-duty push pull cable, built around a 5/16" stainless steel core (5/16-24 UNF, or 8mm metric) for significantly greater push/pull capacity than the lighter series. Key features include:
- Minimum bend radius of 125mm
- HDPE outer conduit with HDPE liner for smooth operation
- Flat-wrap 4.6mm stainless steel inner core
- Operating temperature range of -40°C to +80°C
Typical applications: heavy-duty hydraulic valve controls, large transmission and gear selector systems, engine shutdown controls, PTO engagement, directional control mechanisms, industrial processing equipment, heavy mobile plant, mining machinery, and rail and infrastructure equipment.
The larger core diameter and heavy-duty construction allow the 60 Series to transmit greater operating forces while maintaining precise control in the most demanding environments.
How to Choose the Right Series
Selecting the correct push pull cable series depends on a few key factors:
- Load requirements — how much force needs to be transmitted through the cable at your required travel?
- Required travel (stroke) — the distance the cable core needs to move, from 25mm to 150mm as standard.
- Cable length and routing — overall length (1.00m–6.00m standard, custom available) and how tightly the cable will need to bend.
- Environmental conditions — vibration, temperature extremes, dust, moisture and UV exposure.
- End fitting configuration — Clamp/Clamp, Bulkhead/Bulkhead or Clamp/Bulkhead, depending on how the cable mounts at each end.
Every cable is built to order — select your series, cable end combination, travel and length, or contact our team with your existing part number, equipment make/model, or a sample cable and we'll help match the right replacement.
