They are direct replacements for many Morse® and Teleflex® control cables used throughout Australia.

Which Cable Do I Need?
The right cable comes down to three things: the series (which sets the rod diameter and load capacity), the length, and the end fitting configuration.
- 30 Series – lighter-duty applications, 3/16" rod
- 40 Series – medium-duty applications, 1/4" rod
- 60 Series – heavy-duty applications, 5/16" rod
Once you know your series, you'll also need to confirm the overall cable length and whether each end is Clamp, Bulkhead, or a Bulkhead/Clamp combination. If you're replacing an existing cable, the easiest way to get all of this right is to measure the old cable (see below) or read the part number off the original if it's still legible.

What Is a 30 Series Cable?
A 30 Series cable — known as a Version 3 cable within Multiflex Australia's manufacturing system — is built around a 3/16" rod and is typically used for lighter-duty push pull control applications. It's a direct replacement for Morse® and Teleflex® cables commonly coded 31C, 32C, 33C, 34C and 35C, along with their B (Bulkhead) and BC (Bulkhead/Clamp) equivalents.
The same naming logic applies across the range:

How Do I Measure One?
To measure an existing push pull cable, take note of:
- Overall length – measured from the tip of one end fitting to the tip of the other, with the cable laid straight (not coiled).
- End fitting type at each end – Clamp, Bulkhead, or a mix of the two.
- Rod/series size – this is usually easiest to confirm from the original part number, or by comparing rod diameter against the 3/16", 1/4" and 5/16" series sizes above.
- Conduit and travel – how far the inner core needs to move (the stroke length) can also affect which cable suits your application.
