What is a Push Pull Control Cable?
A push pull control cable is a flexible mechanical device used to transmit motion, force and control from one point to another. Unlike standard cables that can only pull, push pull cables are specifically engineered to both push and pull, making them ideal for operating throttles, valves, transmissions, PTO controls, engine shut-offs, latches, hydraulic functions and a wide range of remote mechanical systems.
Also known as a mechanical control cable, motion control cable or control cable assembly, these products provide a reliable and cost-effective method of transferring operator input to equipment controls without the complexity of hydraulic, pneumatic or electronic systems.
Push pull control cables consist of a flexible outer conduit, a high-strength inner core, and precision-engineered end fittings that allow smooth operation even when routed around obstacles or through confined spaces. They are widely used across industrial, agricultural, transport, marine and specialised equipment where dependable remote control is essential.
Industrial & Cable Group manufactures and supplies a comprehensive range of Australian-assembled push pull control cables suitable for demanding applications across multiple industries. Our cables are available in a variety of series, lengths, strokes and end configurations, allowing customers to specify a solution that precisely matches their equipment requirements.
