Aftermarket B&M Shifter Cables Built for Performance & Reliability

When it comes to automatic transmission performance, the shifter cable plays a critical role in delivering precise, reliable gear changes. At Industrial & Cable Group, we manufacture high-quality aftermarket shifter cables designed to suit B&M shifters and compatible aftermarket systems, providing a dependable replacement for worn or aging cables.

Our shifter cables are ideal for classic cars, hot rods, and performance vehicles, where smooth operation and minimal backlash are essential.

Designed to Suit B&M Shifters and More

Industrial & Cable Group shifter cables are engineered to fit most popular B&M shifter controls, making them a practical and cost-effective aftermarket solution.

Key specifications include:

  • Suits most B&M shifter controls
  • Terminal eye hole: 6.35 mm (shifter connection)
  • Cable thread: 10-32 UNF 2A (3/16” UNF)
  • Overall cable travel: 65 mm
  • Flat wrap 2.7 mm stainless steel inner core
  • Cables measured from centre of terminal eye to tip of rod

Each component is selected to ensure compatibility, durability, and consistent performance under demanding conditions.

Reduced Backlash for Smoother Gear Changes

Worn or inferior shifter cables can introduce unwanted play, leading to imprecise gear selection. Our shifter cables are engineered to minimise backlash, reducing play in the linkage and delivering positive, confident shifting.

This makes them an excellent upgrade for performance builds or restorations where responsiveness matters.

Engineered Materials for Long-Term Reliability

Our aftermarket shifter cables are built using industry-tested materials, including:

  • HDPE outer conduit for strength and durability
  • HDPE liner for smooth, low-friction operation
  • Stainless steel flat wrap core for strength and corrosion resistance

The cable features a 10-32 (3/16”) male thread, a standard terminal eye of 6.35 mm, and a 7/16” UNF bulkhead mounting hub, ensuring a secure and reliable installation.

Assembled in Australia, Built to Perform

Industrial & Cable Group assemble a wide range of control cables right here in our Sydney factory. Our aftermarket B&M-style shifter cables are available in lengths from 3 ft to 10 ft, allowing flexibility across a wide range of vehicle applications.

What Are RVC Cables and How They Improve Agricultural & Plant Equipment Operations

Remote Valve Control (RVC) Cables are essential components in modern machinery, enabling precise valve actuation across agricultural, construction, and industrial equipment.  By transmitting force or mechanical signals, RVC cables allow operators to control valves remotely, improving efficiency, safety, and accessibility in systems like hydraulic and pneumatic machinery.

At Industrial & Cable Group, we specialise in high-quality RVC cables engineered for heavy machinery, agricultural equipment, and plant maintenance, ensuring reliable operation in tough environments.

What Are RVC Cables?

RVC (Remote Valve Control) Cables are mechanical linkages that transmit motion from a control system to valves, such as ball, butterfly, or other flow control valves. Commonly known as push-pull cables, they connect motorised actuators to remote control points, enabling:

o   Remote operation of valves from a safe distance

o   Automation of irrigation, fluid, or chemical systems

o   Precise flow control in hydraulic or pneumatic applications

o   These cables are widely used in agricultural equipment, plant machinery, and heavy vehicles, making maintenance and operation safer and more efficient.

Types of RVC Cable-Actuated Systems

o   Mechanical RVC Cables (Push-Pull / Bowden Cables)

o   Mechanical cables are a reliable, manual solution for remote valve control. They are ideal for:

o   Tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems

o   Plant machinery like loaders, excavators, and sprayers

o   Marine equipment and small machinery

o   Mechanical cables transmit direct motion without electricity, ensuring consistent valve operation even in harsh or remote environments.

Industrial & Cable Group RVC Cable Types

We provide a range of RVC cables suitable for agricultural, industrial, and plant machinery applications:

o  RVC Bulkhead Hub

o   Compatible with Remote Valve Control XVL-900

o   Replaces Morse 206366 cable

o   Works with competitor RVC cables

o   RVC Universal Hub

o   Suits Remote Valve Control XVL-900

Applications of RVC Cables in Agriculture & Plant Equipment

RVC cables are crucial in modern farming, plant machinery, and heavy vehicle operations:

o   Automated irrigation systems – control water flow remotely for crops

o   Fertilizer and pesticide application – precise chemical delivery

o   Greenhouse climate control – regulate valves for humidity and temperature

o   Livestock water and feed systems – remote monitoring and adjustment

o   Heavy machinery hydraulics – reliable control in construction and earthmoving vehicles

By using RVC cables, operators can increase efficiency, optimise resources, and improve safety across all agricultural and industrial operations.
