Rod Ends - Chrome Moly
Chrome Moly rod ends are high-strength spherical linkage components designed for applications where durability, load capacity and reliable articulation are important. They are commonly known as Chrome Moly Heim joints or Rose joints.
Industrial & Cable Group Chrome Moly rod ends are manufactured from heat-treated 4130 Chrome Moly steel with chrome-plated components and are designed for demanding mechanical linkage applications. The spherical bearing allows angular movement between connected components while maintaining a strong and adjustable mechanical connection.
Chrome Moly spherical rod ends are commonly used in steering and suspension linkages, motorsport applications, industrial machinery, control systems and high-load mechanical assemblies. They can also be used in hand- and foot-operated push-pull linkage applications where the appropriate size and load rating are selected.
The range includes imperial thread sizes and male and female configurations, with both right-hand and left-hand thread options available across the range.
When Should I Use a Chrome Moly Rod End?
Chrome Moly is a good choice where strength and load capacity are key considerations. When selecting a rod end, consider the required static and dynamic loads, bore size, thread size and direction, available articulation, installation space and operating environment.
For applications where corrosion resistance is the primary requirement, consider the Stainless Steel Rod End range. For lighter-duty linkage applications where smooth movement and reduced maintenance are priorities, consider the Steel Housing Nylon Race range.
